How to join
Joining Bluebird is free and only takes a few minutes. You must be 13 or older, which is Discord's minimum age.
1. Join our Discord server
Everything happens on our Discord server: session announcements, applications, help and our community. Use the Join our Discord button on this page.
2. Read the rules
Please read our rules and staying safe pages. By joining, you agree to follow them.
3. Apply to be a student
Fill in the student application. Tell us your Roblox and Discord usernames and which year group you'd like to roleplay in. You don't need any roleplay experience.
4. Get your role and come to a session
Once your application is accepted, you'll be given your class role on Discord. Then just turn up to the next session announced on the server — your teacher will show you around.
Want to teach or work at the school?
We're always looking for teachers, teaching assistants and school staff. See our staff vacancies.
Choosing a year group
| Year group | Class | Typical ages in the roleplay |
|---|---|---|
| Reception | Wrens | 4–5 |
| Year 1 | Robins | 5–6 |
| Year 2 | Finches | 6–7 |
| Year 3 | Kingfishers | 7–8 |
| Year 4 | Swallows | 8–9 |
| Year 5 | Owls | 9–10 |
| Year 6 | Kestrels | 10–11 |
Not sure? Year 3 to Year 6 are great for your first time, as lessons are a little more independent.
