Inclusion and SEND
Everyone is welcome at Bluebird, and everyone should be able to join in.
Bluebird is an inclusive school, in character and out. Everyone is welcome, and we want every player to be able to take part fully and enjoy themselves.
How we include everyone
- Text and voice. You can always take part using text chat — voice chat is never required.
- Clear routines. Every session follows the same structure, and the timetable is shared in advance, so you always know what's happening next.
- Take a break. It's fine to step away from a session at any time. Just let a member of staff know.
- Adapted lessons. Teachers explain things clearly, break tasks into small steps and give extra time.
- Just ask. If something would help you join in — for example slower typing, fewer people in a channel, or written instructions — message a member of staff or open a Discord ticket. You don't have to explain why.
In the roleplay
Our SENCo, Ms Priya Sharma, leads support for students in character. Please be thoughtful: roleplay about special educational needs, disabilities or medical conditions must always be respectful and never used as a joke.
