Lead a subject across the school, such as English, maths, science or the foundation subjects.

Each head of department leads one subject area across the whole school, from Reception to Year 6. We have posts in several departments — tell us in your application which subject you'd like to lead.

You will

  • check your subject's week-by-week curriculum plans each month and help teachers use them;

  • support and coach the teachers who teach your subject;

  • plan subject events, such as a science week or a reading challenge;

  • report on how your subject is going to the senior leadership team.

You need to be

  • 13 or older and active on our Discord server;

  • experienced in school roleplay, ideally as a teacher, and keen on your subject;

  • able to come to sessions regularly.
